Our story

Born in Lousiana, Blaire is the pastry chef & owner of Bread and Butter HTX. Blaire started her career at the Ritz Carlton in New Orleans where she was a pastry cook specializing in bread and breakfast pastries. She continued her career offshore, working on drilling and production facilities for large operators in the Gulf of Mexico. Offshore platforms provide a candid and honest audience that continues to push Blaire’s craft to the next level.

Bread and Butter HTX has been a dream of Blaire’s for years coming. Her active sourdough starter is +10 years old and we’re excited to share it with the public.


Bread and Butter HTX specializes in long slow fermented sourdough breads, breakfast pastries, and New Orleans style Kingcakes. All products are made from scratch using local ingredients and family recipes.

Bread and Butter HTX takes special orders for Wedding and Birthday cakes when dates are available. Bread and Butter HTX is ready to bake for the Oak Forest Neighborhood!
